After a successful year of fundraising across the 16 – 17 academic year, we donated over £1000 to The Children’s Society to support the work they do for vulnerable young people across the country.
This year, you may have heard we are raising money to support the RSPCA, helping them with all they do to end animal cruelty once and for all. In fact, our fundraising efforts have already begun! Whilst the whole country was joining in with the annual Big Coffee Morning on the last Friday in September, we participated with a twist to help support the RSPCA.
It was fantastic to see the effort our students went to as a team to ensure their morning ran smoothly. As you can see, Thrapston created a banner that looked nearly, if not as good at the cakes! Plus, whilst speaking of cakes, Northampton learner Callum baked an amazing carrot cake selection that several people commented was absoloutley amazing so a huge well done to him.
Although our final total from the morning hasn’t yet been counted across our sites, Northamptonshire themselves raised just over of £100. It was great to see some familiar faces through parents and families and a big thank you to all who attended and generously donated on the day.
Keep your eyes peeled on our social media accounts for our next fundraiser and we look forward to welcoming you there.
